Dr. Yoel Raban works as the Senior Research Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Center for Technological Analysis & Forecasting (ICTAF) at Tel-Aviv University. 
At ICTAF he has performed many research and consulting projects, including strategic analysis for telecommunications operators, and assessment of the economic potential of the Israeli Biotechnology and remote-sensing industries.

He studied economics and managemant, his Ph.D. is in marketing.

His working experience is varied, from market research to strategic analysis. In recent years he has been involved in several European projects, such as PATS (www.pats-project.eu) and SIAM (www.siam-project.eu). Both projects involve the study of the coexistence of security and privacy. He is also involved in strategic analysis & foresight projects. Some examples of his recent research topics include Internet of Things, Big Data, Cyber Resilience, and Wireless Sensor Networs.
