Daniel Cohen

Daniel Cohen is a researcher at Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) and Yuval Ne'eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University. Daniel's research fields include: cyber security, cyber terrorism, terrorist organizations and their use of web & social media, strategic offensive capabilities of actors in cyberspace, information warfare, and Counter Terrorism. He is a frequent lecturer in the private sector, governments and security establishments, both in Israel and abroad, including as an expert representative at the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee. He also serves as a consultant/ Expert on Violent Extremism and Radicalization that Lead to Terrorism (VERLT) for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Daniel holds a Master's in Security Studies from Tel Aviv University. Prior to joining the ICRC, he served as a research fellow and coordinator of the cyber security program at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). In addition to his role at INSS, Daniel worked as a consultant and researcher for the public sector.
